Sonoma Coast at a Glance
Sonoma County is
known for its wine production, however the Sonoma Coast provides added attractions
that further bolster the area's desirability as a travel destination. While bed
and breakfasts and guest ranches prevail as accommodation choices, visitors may
also opt for camping at the Sonoma
Coast State Beach Park. There are over 150 campsites available in the Park,
ranging from primitive to developed. Guests to the Sonoma Coast enjoy a wide variety
of activities, from diving and fishing in the Pacific Ocean to horseback riding
on the beach and golfing at Bodega
Harbour Links Golf Course. Local history can be found at the Fort
Ross State Park, which features the first Russian Orthodox Church south of
Alaska, among other historic structures. Of course, the picturesque coastline
of California is perfect for
viewing and photographing the sunset over the Pacific Ocean.
